The final sprint toward the end of 2024 continues, and October brought yet another month packed with exciting developments and fresh content at LayerX! With so much already accomplished and still more to achieve before year-end, we’ve been working non-stop to make it all happen. In this report, we share our progress during October.
LayerX
A new episode of Probably Something
Following a great kickoff last month, in October we hosted a new episode of Probably Something, a space where we sit down with some of the most prominent names in web3 and blockchain.
This time, our Social Media & Community Manager, Georgia, welcomed Lavender K, Natalia T, Inês NW, and Joana L to an inspiring women-led panel discussing the power of community, the importance of education, and the unique challenges women face when starting out in male-dominated spaces like web3. Together, they shared insights on what the journey looks like to make web3 a more inclusive and welcoming space for everyone.
Team Spotlight with Helder Vasconcelos, CTO and co-founder
Team Spotlight is our content series where we bring our team to the frontline and share a bit about the amazing people that make LayerX. In October, we published a very special episode, featuring one of our co-founders, @Helder Vasconcelos.
Helder is the guy who’s alwaaaays on top of the latest tech trends and web3 developments — a true developer at heart and the CTO of LayerX! In his interview, Helder shares what a day in the life of a web3 CTO looks like, how his role has evolved over time, and even takes a trip down memory lane to the moment when the idea behind TAIKAI and LayerX came to life!
We’ve answered all the questions from our community!
If you have been a member of LayerX’s community for a while, you know how much we appreciate our members and are committed to giving them a voice.
That being said, we’d like to thank our community members who took the time to participate in our hackathon survey this month! As a token of our appreciation, we awarded 10,000 TKAIs to five lucky participants selected at random. Be sure to check your inbox to see if you’re among the lucky ones!
We’ve also gathered all the questions from our community and put together a Community Report, where we answer everything and dive into the topics that matter most to our community. From ecosystem updates to token updates, listings, partnerships, and the TAIKAI Garden, we’ve covered it all!
Our CEO joined ICP to discuss the future of web3 in Portugal
This month, our CEO and co-founder, Mário Alves, sat down with our friends from ICP Hub Portugal for an insightful talk on the topic “Web3 Portugal: Porto’s Ecosystem of Builders and Investors’.
The conversation was both insightful and inspiring as together we discussed the ongoing growth and innovation within Porto’s Web3 community. We look forward to more opportunities to exchange ideas and witness the evolution of the ecosystem.
