TAIKAI Platform Excels With 10/10 in Hacken’s Security Assessment
TAIKAI’s web app just scored a flawless 10 out of 10 in a Web Application Security Assessment performed by Hacken. Hacken.io is a leading Blockchain Security Auditor, offering a suite of security services to projects in the blockchain and crypto ecosystem with a client portfolio that includes Binance, WhiteBIT, and Huobi Token.
Last year, Hacken performed a Smart Contract Code Review on Bepro Network v2, where Bepro scored 9.8 out of 10. This year Hacken performed a Complex Applications Security Assessment to TAIKAI Applications to test its robustness.
This evaluation not only confirms TAIKAI’s web app as a resilient and secure web app, but also highlights TAIKAI’s unwavering commitment to ensuring an ironclad security framework for its platform 🛡️
Scope of the Security Assessment
The purpose of the assessment was to utilize active exploitation techniques to evaluate the security of the web app against best practices and to validate its security mechanisms.
Following Hacken’s methodology, different functional domains were evaluated and assigned a risk level, which are described next.
Risk levels
The level of criticality of each risk is determined based on the potential impact of loss from successful exploitation, ease of exploitation, and other factors. The risk levels are the following.
High — vulnerabilities easy to exploit that provide an attacker with full control of the affected systems, which may also lead to significant data loss or downtime.
Medium — vulnerabilities much harder to explore and may not provide the same access to affected systems.
Low — vulnerabilities that provide an attacker with sensitive information but where exploitation is extremely difficult, or impact is minimal.
Informational — vulnerabilities that are informational and can be ignored.
Results
During the initial assessment, carried out in May 2023, a few vulnerabilities were identified, which were then addressed by TAIKAI’s development team and re-assessed following Hacken’s methodologies and procedures.
The final results of the security assessment came out in August 2023 and are presented next.
The research conducted by Hacken’s Security Team identified TAIKAI’s Web Infrastructure as HIGH-Security level, scoring an overall rating of 10 out of 10.
